How to Calculate the Plus One Percentage?
Science Stream
The maximum marks for each subject in science stream are as follow:
- English – 100 Marks
- Language II – 100 Marks
- Physics – 80 Marks
- Chemistry – 80 Marks
- Biology/Computer Science – 80 Marks
- Mathematics – 80 Marks
This give you the total marks = 520 Marks
Now, add up the marks obtained by you in each subject. After that, use the below formula:
Percentage = (Marks Obtained/Maximum Marks) x 100
Commerce and Humanities Stream
There are total six subjects in commerce or humanities stream. Simply add up your total marks obtained and divide it by sum of the maximum marks, and then multiply it by 100. This will give you the result.
Percentage = [(Subject 1 + Subject 2 + Subject 3 + Subject 4 + Subject 5 + Subject 6)/Sum of Maximum Marks] x 100
Percentage = (Total Marks/Maximum Marks) x 100
